Finished the whole darn thing without realizing that there was a theme. So thanks very much for that additional info.

Last fill-in: The A at the 77A/74D cross. As usual that doesn't say much for my knowledge of pop culture. In fact, my first thoughts (quickly abandoned) for "America" and BAND were Paul Lavalle and Cities Service.

And now it's time for a nap.

@badrog, my last letter was very close, at 77A/68D, the D at the cross of proper names.

I didn't see the theme, either, but it all was fun and relatively easy.

Thanks, PG.

Shouldn't AIRPOCKET and Pocket Book been in the Theme?

My grandmother always carried a Pocketbook (purse)

Just wondering??

Yes, I think both Airpocket / pocketbook and its correspondingn answer Right Bank / Bank book were supposed to be part of the theme as well.
