Also 90A, "Fail to take the heat"... had "lose" (as a track meet) initially, not MELT. Great puzzle.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8626052240584383873.post-16772146391032922162011-02-06T13:19:50.997-08:002011-02-06T13:19:50.997-08:00Go Pack!!Go Pack!!Avg Joenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8626052240584383873.post-82822928155274169302011-02-06T08:58:40.735-08:002011-02-06T08:58:40.735-08:00I don't get the Sun. Didn't know the Toni Morrison novel SULA and the Japanese mat TATAMI, so that sort of caused a natick for me.

Fill words I liked: INERTIA (Hail Newton!), TWITCHY (fun word to use on someone), Flagrante DELICTO (WOTD for me), BEADLES (funny name for church officials), VENDETTA (the gay cigarette girl who sings and dances the Habanera), and SYLPHS (beautiful women, of course).

I'm a huge fan of Maurice Ravel and Vladimir Ashkenazy, and so I'm embedding a beautiful serene clip here of his DAPHNIS and Chloe "Daybreak".
What a nice calming way to start off your raucous Super Bowl Sunday.
Enjoy!

Only one month from now and the MAPLE trees will be sapping that wonderful sirup (or syrup if you wish).
I'll be going down to Funk's Grove Illinois on Route 66 for their tapping days... can't wait!
Hey spring is a-comin'.

Hope y'all have a super Super Bowl day... munch away!JOHNSNEVERHOMEhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13447455788629988277noreply@blogger.com
